The High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) is the newest member of the MLRS family offering MLRS firepower on a wheeled chassis. HIMARS carries a single six-pack of rockets or one Army Tactical Missile System(ATACMS) missile on the Army’s new FMTV five-ton truck, and can launch the entire MLRS family of munitions.

Because of its size, HIMARS is C-130 transportable, allowing MLRS firepower to be moved rapidly into areas previously inaccessible. It also retains the self-loading and autonomous features that have made MLRS so successful. In 2000, the United States Marine Corps joined the HIMARS program. The Marine Corps will undergo a Tech Demo to evaluate the system, with the objective of fully incorporating HIMARS into the Corps.

The LG Mark II is a 105-mm towed Howitzer that is generally used to provide close indirect fire support to light, highly mobile, rapid deployment forces that might be required for domestic or international commitments. The LG 1 is normally towed by a 2-ton truck or modified Grizzly which carries the crew, associated equipment, and some ammunition. It can also be lifted by helicopter, dropped by parachute and transtorted by air. It has the capability to fire extended range ammunition up to 19.2km away. It deploys with a crew of between three and seven soldiers depending on the mission and task.

The fielding of 28 LG 1 Mark II guns completed in November 1997. Each regular Light Infantry Battalion is now supported by a Direct Support Battery equipped with sex LG 1 guns.

More than 2,400 of this armor have been produced and gave birth to follow-up model Casspir. Buffel means buffalo. It’s built in simple structure so when it’s damaged by a mine, it can be repaired within an hour with parts already set inside.

The RG-31 Nyala is multi-purpose mine-protected vehicle based on the Mamba APC. The vehicle’s V-shaped monocoque welded steel hull and high suspension are designed to resist a blast equivalent to two TM-57 anti-tank mines detonating simultaneously.

The RG-31 has become the multi-purpose of choice of the UN and other peacekeeping and security forces. It is finding favor with nongovernmental organizations requiring a vehicle with a non-aggressive appearance to protect their personnel against the threat of landmines.

It’s equipped with CBR measuring sensor and componential analysis instrument inside so it gathers sample at contaminated area informing whether the area is safe or not. By the way, I’ve been in a CBR chamber 3 times, and it’s the last place I want to get in again. Can’t breathe and water’s coming out of both eyes and nose. It’s like a little bomb’s exploded inside my chest. Seen a hell..
